Their tragedy made our heart cry and we laughed with joy when the kids laughed in Slumdog Millionaire. The success of the Danny Boyle movie changed their lives. Coming from the slums of Dharavi they were seen sashaying down the ramp, in designer clothes for Ashima and Leena Singh at Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week.

Much change has come Rubina Ali Qureshi’s way, the girl who played youngest Latika in the movie in the form of TV commercials. She has shot a TV commercial with Hollywood actress Nicole Kidman.
