For the first time after the recent spate of racist attacks on Indian students in Australia, there are now reports of Indians allegedly retaliating.
A 20-year-old Australian was stabbed once in the neck and twice in the arm allegedly by two Indians at St Albans in Melbourne on Sunday.
An Australian daily, The Age, has reported that the victim had allegedly said to the Indians: “You are black. You don’t belong here. Go away from our country.”
The Victoria police have released a statement saying: Police are investigating a stabbing that left a 20-year-old man with injuries. Police believe that two men seen in the vicinity of the stabbing can assist with their enquiries. Both men are in their twenties and dark skinned.
